Michael S. Geller
Managing Partner

Mr. Geller represents consumers and businesses in all forms of civil litigation including consumer actions and defense, auto dealer law and defense, collections and defense. Mr. Geller does extensive work in both individual and class-actions involving the Consumers Legal Remedies Act and the Unfair Business Practices Act.

Mr. Geller has taught other attorneys as well as other groups on California’s extensive consumer protection laws as well as false advertising and litigation under §17200 B&P. Mr. Geller is a member of the Consumer Attorney’s of California as well as the Riverside County Bar Association. Mr. Geller is admitted to the California State Bar, the US District Courts of California in the Central, Northern, Eastern and Southern Districts, United States Tax Court and the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Geller has led, participated and associated in various consumer class actions including numerous expiring gift certificate cases and other general consumer fraud cases. He has handled private attorney general cases, general class-action cases as well as representative actions in areas including false advertising, auto rental issues, gift certificates and gift cards, warranty issues and consumer fraud.

Mr. Geller has a Bachelors of Science Degree from California State University Northridge in Business Administration/Management and a Juris Doctor degree from California Southern College of Law. Mr. Geller has been a member of the California State Bar since 1995.

Richard Stewart
Of Counsel

Mr. Stewart represents businesses as well as individuals in a wide variety of civil litigation including consumer law. Mr. Stewart retired in 1997 from the Air Force as an officer, and is also retired from the Federal Civil Service. He has handled military disciplinary matters (such as discharge boards), Security Clearance matters, and Civil Service appeals up through the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB).

Mr. Stewart has handled and assisted in numerous litigation matters, including consumer class action cases, consumer fraud, and representative actions in areas including false advertising, gift certificates and gift cards, and all types of warranty issues. He is also experienced in handling automobile personal injury matters. He has also represented Creditors before the United States Bankruptcy Court, represented clients on Security Clearance appeals before in an Administrative Law Court, and represented a client before a United States Air force Discharge Board.

Mr. Stewart is a member of the Riverside County Bar Association and is admitted to the California State Bar, the US District courts of California in the Central, Northern, Eastern and Southern Districts, and the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Stewart has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from California State University Northridge in Political Science, a Master of Arts in Education from Northern Michigan University, a Juris Doctor degree from California Southern College of Law, and is a graduate of Command and Staff College, Air University, US Air Force. He has been a member of the California State Bar since 1983.

  Amy M. Oakden
Associate Attorney

Ms. Oakden represents individual and business creditors in all areas of practice including filing of complaints, law and motion practice, relief from stay and other actions in the Bankruptcy court, post-judgment exams and enforcement, and other motions in recovery.

Ms. Oakden has worked for the firm of Geller & Stewart, LLP since September 2008. Ms. Oakden was born and raised in Temecula,California, where she now resides with her husband and two children.

Ms. Oakden is admitted to the California State Bar and the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

Ms. Oakden received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, California in June 2003. She received her law degree, cum laude, from Chapman University School of Law in Orange, California in May 2006.
